In this ‘Mawlid’ of Ibn al-Jazarī, often read in assemblies, we relive the radiant light journey of the Messenger ﷺ, rehearsing the steps of his mission to the Umma, and his noble character, unafraid, generous and harbinger of the promise of Peace, as denoted in the first words he uttered on arriving in Madinah, “Spread peace among yourselves; feed the hungry; uphold your bonds of kinship; and pray by night when people are at rest—and you shall enter Paradise in peace.”

In like manner, this small book is a salutation to the Prophet ﷺ, tracing his journey from his birth to his demise, recording the key aspects of his blessed and miraculous life.
