Author Session: Erni Salleh

About the Session

Join Erni Salleh, author of The Travelling Library Chronicles of Maizey Lee as she shares the inspiration behind the series from her experience working as a librarian onboard MOLLY as well as in her current job as a museum curator.

Participants will get the chance to design their own travelling library and have a go at making secret codes using ciphers to see if they can crack the code within the book!

This programme is suitable for children aged 7 and above. Copies of the book will be available to purchase for the author to sign after the event.

About the Author

Erni Salleh started writing stories at the age of 12 and has never looked back. Since graduating from the National University of Singapore, she uses all the cool stuff she learned about Southeast Asia such as traditional folktales and ancient kingdoms to write more books, both for children and adults. Erni loves stories so much that she became a librarian for many years, even working on the famous travelling library called MOLLY! Now she lives in the United Kingdom and works in a museum where she mixes history with storytelling and gets everyone excited about it. When she is not writing, Erni disappears into a magical Welsh book town called Hay, on one of her many secret literary quests!
